realdoll sex doll

Although I was aware of the existence of RealDoll sex dolls, it was only recently I stumbled upon a YouTube documentary about theseu eerily life-like beings. At first, I couldn’t believe how realistic they looked. I mean – They had proper eyelashes and hair. They can even move their hands and mouths! Can you imagine? As I watched the documentary, I felt a mix of curiosity and repulsion. I just couldn’t wrap my head around why anyone would want a thing like this? Would you buy a RealDoll sex doll if you could?

Well, sex dolls after watching the documentary I decided to read further into the phenomenon. It turns out, some people are making stories, complete with characters and entire plot-lines, around their dolls. Some people even talk to their dolls and give them names. It’s been speculated that these dolls help people with relationship struggles or social anxiety. Could it be true?

As someone who enjoys writing, the concept of using a sex doll as a character in a book or a film appealed to me. After all, stories allow us to experience new ideas and traverse through other people’s emotional or existential states without actually going through it ourselves. That said, I still couldn’t get over how eerily real these dolls looked. I’m sure some of the people who own RealDoll sex dolls are just using them as a prop or for entertainment but the fact that some people make the doll a real part of their family and lives is, well, a bit bizarre to me.

Then I started to think about the implications of the emergence of such dolls. On the one hand, people seem to be hugely benefiting from these dolls. They are being used to provide comfort, companionship and (let’s face it) sexual gratification for those that need it. But, on the other hand, it’s hard to ignore the implications this might have for our social behaviour. It’s one thing to indulge in sex dolls, but what does it mean for the way we interact with each other? Are we losing touch with the real world? What if people start preferring machines over human interaction?

I’m sure this is something we’ll have to think about as this industry grows and develops. For now, I guess I’m just gonna have to accept the fact that dolls like these exist. I don’t think I’ll be ever buying one, but hey, it’s nice to peek into other peoples lives and perceptions.

Since then I’ve read even more about the industry of RealDolls, and vibrators the whole thing is just exploding! It’s almost like a huge portion of society is embracing this kind of technology. From transhumanism fans who believe that merging our flesh with robotics will create a new species, to those who are just looking for a way to fulfill their desires without having to cross the boundary of monogamy.

I can really understand why some people would want to have a doll. Everyone wants to feel loved and understood and that’s something a doll might be able to provide. Still, there’s something about a sex doll that feels… off. I don’t know if I can ever accept a synthetic being as an actual companion.

What do you think about RealDoll sex dolls? Are they a harmless foray into technology or do you fear a world in which robots rule the way we interact?

I have to admit, I’m still trying to wrap my head around the implications of having such a life-like dolls. I’m still not sure how I feel about them, but I’m certainly more open-minded towards them than before. It’s a fascinating development, and I hope I learn more about it in the future.
